TS Eliot
Thomas Stearns Eliot, (26 Sep 1888 - 4 Jan 1965). Considered as one of the 20th Century's greatest poets.
This letterhead lists Eliot as part of the 'Board of Management', along with:
J Compton, CBE (Chairman)
Joseph Compton was also Chairman of the Poetry Panel at the Arts Council in the late 1950s.
Basil Blackwell
Blackwell, (29 May 1889 - 9 Apr 1984) was the son of the founder of Blackwells bookshop in Oxford. He took over and ran the company on his fathers death in 1924.
RW David
Sir George Rostrevor Hamilton
Sir George (1888 - 1967) an English poet & critic. Knighted in 1951. He was also the Vice-President of the Royal Society of Literature.
Erica Marx.
Marx (1909 - 1969). Ran the Hand and Flower Press (appears most active in early to mid 1950s)
The letterhead below was printed by the Curwen Press (founded in 1863 by Rev. John Curwen). With the above info, this latterhead would be dated somewhere around the late 1950s.
